Here are a list of our most common questions that might be helpful. SECTION 1 : ORDERS Q. I don't have a PayPal account. Can I still place an order? A. Yes. There is an option on the payment page to pay with a credit card if you don't have a PayPal account. Q. Why can't I download my order right away? A. All payments are handled with PayPal. There are still those people out there who hijack other people's accounts or credit cards and make unauthorized purchases. Letting us manually process each payment gives a change to briefly view each order and stop those that may look suspicious. If we find an order to be suspicious, we may contact the customer for more information. Q. How long does it take to process my order? A. We usually process orders within an hour or two after we receive them. Most are processed right away. We sleep like everyone else, so orders placed after midnight won't be processed until the following morning. Once your order has been processed, you will receive an email confirmation that your order is "Complete" and be asked to log in to your account to download your order. Q. How many times can I download my order? A. The default is set to three times. Again, this is for security. If at any time you have used all three download attempts, please contact us. We will reset your download count. Just make sure to send us your account name and order number so we may do so. Q. I want my money back. I don't like the template. A. Sorry. No refunds. Q. I ordered the wrong template. Can I exchange for another template? A. So long as you have not downloaded the order, we can make an exchange. As soon as it is downloaded, you will need to purchase the right one. Why? Well, it is easy for someone to say "Oops, I ordered the wrong one," download it and ask for an exchange and download a second template -- basically getting two templates and only paying for one. We want to keep things honest. We'll do our best to try to satisfy our customers, but we don't want to be taken advantage of either. SECTION 2: SUPPORT Q. What kind of support do you give for templates? A. We provide support for our templates so long as they are installed on the software/version they are intended for. If there is a bug, we'll attempt to fix it. However, we will not provide support if the template.... ...is being used with a customized, non-standard installation of the software for the supported version.
...is being used with third party modules or plugins. ...has been altered in any say beyond the original files that have been provided. Our templates should work in most situations. Some software programs have hard coded variables that we must design around many times. It is hard to account for all the customizations that may occur and third party plugins that will alter software installations. This is why we support our templates for standard installations only. Q. Will you update templates to work with newer versions of software? A. This is catchy. Some software updates are minor. Others are complete overhauls and radically change. We'll do our best to test our templates will the latest releases. We will always state what versions the template will work for. Version releases will be handled in the following way: Major Version Releases: Will generally require an overhaul of the template or a new one created. If we are required to create a new template layout to accommodate for the major release, it will be sold as a new template. Customers who purchased the old version of the template will be required to purchase the new one at this point. An example of a major version release would be going from version 1.0 to version 2.0.
Some templates may still work with major version releases. If this is the case, we will update the product page to reflect this. All templates/software will be handled on a case by case basis whether an update is needed or a new version of the template should be created.Minor Version Releases: Generally, the template needs no adjustments or requires only minor ones, we will update the template or provide "fixes" in our support forum. An example of a minor version release would be going form version 1.1 to version 1.2. Q. What browsers do you test your templates on? A. Internet Explorer 6/7, Firefox, and Opera. We also try to test on Safari and Konquor when we can. SECTION 3: THE OTHER STUFF Q. I see a template I like, but my CMS or other software isn't listed. When can I expect to see a template for it? A. Contact us. There are some CMS and other software we just won't make templates for because of a lack of demand. If we have enough demand, we'll make the template. Other times, we're just slow in getting it tested and released. Q. How come you don't sell templates for phpnuke and phpbb? A. These are two pieces of software that we refuse to run because of repeated security issues and exploits. We wouldn't recommend either to anyone. There are plenty of other sites out there that offer templates for these two. You won't fine templates for either here. Q. I bought a template. Can you customize it? A. The only free service we offer is adding text to a header graphic for your site if you should request it (e.g site name, guild name, etc). This is usually simple enough for us to do. Any template that needs further customization will be charged for. We can discuss what changes need to be made and offer a price quote. Q. Can you make a custom layout for my website? A. Yes and no. Time is very limited and we only take on a few projects at a time. Feel free to contact us on availability and pricing. Q. Do you offer free templates? A. Generally, if we are going to offer a free template, we will do so through out support forums. From time to time we may offer simple templates for free for a featured software, but free templates will have no support beyond our user forums. |
